Africa’s ICT revolution began a few years back and NetWex was there. In 2000 there were only 15 million mobile subscriptions on the continent, by 2010 there were excess of 500 million. It is expected that mobile subscriptions will reach 800 million by 2015. Similarly, from 2000 to June 2011, Africa internet usage grew by 2,527%, compared to a world average of 480%.
